If your heart’s been heavy or your thoughts tangled, this is a space to lay things down openly but gently, one by one. We walk at your pace, with room to breathe, reflect, and find your way forward.

I offer in-person bilingual psychological support in Colonia Condesa CDMX, near Col. Roma Norte and Polanco (about 3 miles away), for English-speaking adults and interfaith/intercultural couples ready to engage in meaningful, lasting change.

About my approach

Therapy with me is not prescriptive or superficial. I won’t reduce your experience to a label or offer generic coping strategies. Instead, I’ll help you observe how you relate to your emotions, your past, and others—so you can gradually develop new internal resources and a clearer sense of direction.

As a couples therapist and bilingual therapist, I understand that seeking help means you’re ready for something to change. In our initial session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy and whether my approach aligns with what you’re looking for. This introductory meeting gives you a chance to see if working together feels right before making a longer commitment.

Many of my clients report feeling more self-accepting, confident, and capable of navigating complex life decisions after working together. Therapy is not just about healing—it’s about reclaiming your ability to feel, relate, and choose differently.

Confidentiality & Professional Boundaries

Complete confidentiality is fundamental to my practice. I understand the particular concerns of clients from close-knit communities where privacy is precious. What happens in therapy stays in therapy —period.

Also, because therapy is not religious counseling, medical treatment, or crisis intervention, I work collaboratively with your existing support systems (including religious advisors, physicians, or other professionals) when appropriate, but always with your explicit consent.

“Asolid empath with a lot of good advice that will call you on your bullshit when he sees it, but is exceptionally nurturing. He’s comfortable, super knowledgeable, and most importantly, helpful.”
— Andy, from the US

Psychotherapy for Adults and Couples

My name is Francisco Aguirre, a clinical bilingual psychologist with 18 years of experience helping people from diverse backgrounds reconnect with themselves, build emotional clarity, and strengthen their decision-making in the present.

My work is grounded in humanistic and experiential approaches, focused on self-awareness, emotional regulation, and deep interpersonal insight.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by loneliness, stuck in repetitive patterns, or disconnected in your relationship, therapy offers a structured space to explore, understand, and act differently.

What you can expect

Individual Therapy

For adults 21+ dealing with anxiety, loss of meaning, life transitions, or emotional disconnection. If you find yourself going through the motions but not truly living, or if relational issues are affecting your wellbeing, individual therapy provides a confidential space to untangle what’s weighing on you.

Couples Therapy

For partners seeking to rebuild trust, improve communication, or navigate crisis points in the relationship. As a bilingual therapist specializing in interfaith and intercultural couples therapy, I work with long-term couples facing communication blocks, emotional disconnection, or uncertainty about their future together. This includes:

  • Long-term couples wanting to deepen intimacy and understanding
  • Partners navigating major life transitions—marriage, parenthood, career changes, relocation
  • Couples managing extended family dynamics, cultural differences, or divergent values
  • Relationships at a crossroads, unsure whether to stay or separate
  • Partners wanting to strengthen their foundation before taking next steps (marriage, children, major commitments)

If you’re looking for an English-speaking therapist in Mexico City who offers in-person sessions, feel free to contact me. Sessions are held in a private and professional setting in Colonia Condesa or Col. Roma Norte, CDMX.

“I worked with Francisco for a little over a year. I started off very nervous as I had had no experience with therapists before. However, with his calm accessible demeanour I soon felt at ease.

The conversations we had helped me see that I can have a healthier approach to my life. This has been a definite game changer.”
— Joseph, 46 yo; from England
